State Representative Pat McElraft had contemplated retirement, but some unfinished business encouraged her to seek another term.
State Representative Pat McElraft is currently serving her 8th term in the North Carolina Legislature and she had contemplated making this term her last. But encouragement from citizens, in particular to continue the fight on key issues in which she had been a vocal champion, helped her make the decision to seek another term in 2020.
“I'm passionate about helping our tourism industry, our farmers and protecting the innocent unborn. There is legislation that is pending in all these areas and I felt it was important to stay the course for at least one more term.”
Representative McElraft represents Carteret and Jones counties and has been a strong voice in Raleigh for the issues that matter most to those citizens. McElraft hopes to receive the endorsement of the people for it least one more term to finish the work she has started.
